When you join Women's Connection, you'll have exclusive access to our "Small Groups" -– circles of women who connect with each other on a regular basis. We keep group sizes small to ensure that members get to know each other in ways that become more meaningful as time goes on.
Over the past 25 years, we have found that being part of small groups is a tried-and-true path to genuine friendships and long-lasting connections. Here's a description of the four types of groups offered by most chapters.
All chapters offer Peer Groups, which meet in each other's homes or via Zoom for focused discussions. Topics are chosen by group members, and they range widely, from personal reflections to current events.
Chapters also offer Special Interest Groups, or SIGs. These activity-oriented groups are birthed by members who are looking for women with whom to explore something new or enjoy a long-time common interest. SIGs can be built around almost any activity, from travel to book discussions to quilt-making.
New types of groups are being formed all the time. Many chapters have Neighborhood Groups, which make it easy for members who live close together to connect informally for carpooling, potlucks, referrals to handymen, and all sorts of neighborly things.
Members are also initiating groups for women are in specific life stages or situations. Members of these groups share knowledge, ideas and support to each other on issues they have in common, from widowhood to empty nesting to online dating.
