What are Peer Groups?
Peer Groups are informal, monthly discussion groups composed of 8-12 Women's Connection members. These groups create a small, safe, supportive space within the larger Women's Connection community. Members have thought-provoking conversations relating to topics of interest to them at this transitional time of life.
Discussion topics range from those that are light-hearted and fun to others that help members think through their futures. Each group establishes a means to select topics and share the responsibilities for making their group run smoothly. Every group has an experienced Women's Connection Partner, as well as resource documents, to help them during the initial meetings or at any point where they feel they want re-direction or support.
While the groups create a supportive environment, they are neither support groups nor therapy groups. If a Women's Connection member is confronting a personal crisis, professional assistance may be needed.
Peer Groups are a benefit of Women's Connection membership. Over half of our members belong to a Peer Group!
