Crafts Group

General Information

The purpose of this group is to connect women who enjoy doing arts and crafts and chatting socially! There is no commitment to attend each time.

If you are interested in crafting, add yourself to the group and you will receive reminders of upcoming gatherings which include either the date and time and either a zoom link or the address. Ignore any reminders that don't interest you. After you are logged in to our website, click here to add yourself.

Event Information

NOTE: MAY date is Memorial Day. We will be meeting on Monday, May 18th instead.

Our Craft SIG has decided to focus on in person gatherings. The group will continue to meet on the Fourth Monday in person at Silverwood from 10:30 to 12:00. Thanks to Mary Chittenden for hosting our in person meetings. Contact her if you have any questions.

This group started as a virtual group during the pandemic as a way to chat with other women while enjoying one's own crafts. Since most women enjoy getting together in person, we will only meet on zoom if there is inclement weather. This change will likely be made within 24 hours of the meeting so watch your email for an update if weather or road conditions look suspicious.

Ad Hoc Gatherings

Do you want to check out a new craft shop or introduce others to your favorite craft shop? Are you aware of a crafting event a group of women might want to attend together? Use the group function to send an email to the women of our chapter who are interested in crafting. They can reply to your email and a few women could enjoy exploring together and getting to know others while crafting. If you get such an email and are not interested, just hit delete.

Ad Hoc Event

Your Women’s Connection Craft and Chat SIG is hosting a crafting outing to Buffalo on June 24!

We’ll start off at Buffalo Books and Coffee at 11-ish for books and coffee.

At 11:30, we’ll walk around the corner to the Silver Creek Cabin where we can shop for yarn and supplies and hang out in their seating area and work on our crafts.

Around 1, we’ll drive to the other side of the lake for lunch at the Mill Creek Inn.

After lunch, we’ll head home.

Depending on who is coming and where they are coming from, we will arrange to carpool out there.
