New Peer Groups Forming!
The heart and soul of Women's Connection is its small groups. This is where women connect – face to face* – to explore what’s next together.
Our Peer Groups are informal discussion groups composed of 8-12 members who meet monthly. These groups create a small and safe space within the larger Women's Connection community. Women have thought-provoking and stimulating conversations relating to topics of interest to them at this transitional time of life.
Discussion topics range from those that are light-hearted and fun to those that help members define and think through their futures. Each group works to find a comfortable way to select topics and share the responsibilities to make their group run smoothly. Every group has an experienced Women's Connection Coordinator as well as resource guidelines to help during the initial meeting and at any point where the group members want support or suggestions.
Our Peer Groups offer members opportunities for connection, new friendships, and mutually beneficial exploration. The intention of Peer Groups is for women to share and learn from each other. While the groups do create a supportive environment, they are neither “support” groups nor therapy groups. If a member is confronting a personal crisis, professional assistance may be needed.
