We are looking for the following volunteers to support our chapter:
Community Impact Committee: Our members have engaged in a variety of activities including fundraising and building homes for women-led households, collecting clothing, books and back-to-school items to donate to immigrants and under-served communities, raising funds for women living in homeless shelters, volunteering at the Greater Chicago Food Depository and many more. Members interested in making a difference in the lives of others can join Chair Ellen Graber and her committee to explore ideas and collaborate on community related projects that serve women, children and families. Email Ellen.
Programs Chair and Programs Committee: We’ve held a variety of engaging in-person workshops and panels, led by outside experts and our own members who have expertise and certifications in many areas related to living with purpose and aging vibrantly. We're seeking a new Programs Chair, which is a steering committee position. We are also looking for volunteers to join our Programs Chair to help organize and plan one in-person program per quarter.
Membership Committee: Join Membership Chair Michelle Charles in welcoming new members, serving as an ambassador, coordinating new member events, and marketing to and connecting with prospective members. Email Michelle.
Explore Chicago: This committee, led by Carol Montgomery, plans special experiences each month such as curated tours and activities for members to explore the unique history and culture of Chicago. We'd love your help and ideas! Email Carol.
Social Connections: We plan monthly social gatherings in Chicago including “Meet & Eat” lunches and “Dinners Together” at new and top-rated restaurants, Happy Hours, and Table Talks. Chair Mary Ozga and her sub-committees would love to have additional members help choose new venues with delicious menus and plan other social connection events! Email Mary.
Health and Wellness: This committee, led by Maura Gates, is working on organizing a variety of activities that keep us healthy and moving. Join our committee to organize events such as pickleball, Pilates, walking groups, and presentations on wellness topics and more. Email Maura.
