Each committee member brings unique skills and perspectives, contributing to a vibrant, inclusive, and well-organized chapter. The following Steering Committee positions are open.

Treasurer
The Treasurer partners closely with the National Women’s Connection Treasurer to support the financial administration of the Chicago Women’s Connection chapter. Responsibilities include reviewing reimbursement requests, sharing account balance updates, distributing financial reports, and assisting with the annual budget process. This role helps ensure clear communication and financial transparency while supporting the chapter’s mission and programs. Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented, comfortable using spreadsheets and online systems, and interested in collaborative financial oversight.
Digital Communications Co-Chair
This co-chair role supports the Chicago Women’s Connection website, newsletters, and digital communications, helping keep members informed and engaged. Responsibilities include coordinating website updates, supporting Event Ninjas (event creators), assisting with social media promotion, and helping create clear training materials for members and administrators. The co-chair will work closely with the current chairperson with the opportunity to eventually transition into the Steering Committee Chair position. Strong communication, organizational, and technical skills are helpful, along with enthusiasm for CWC’s mission and programs.
Social Connections Chair
This role leads the committee responsible for creating engaging social opportunities that help members connect across Chicago. The Social Connections Chair oversees popular programs such as Meet & Eat lunches, Happy Hours, and Table Talk discussions, ensuring a steady mix of venues, topics, and formats that build community and friendship. Responsibilities include recruiting and coordinating committee members, guiding event planning and logistics, posting events to the calendar, and tracking attendance to understand member interest and inform future programming. The role also focuses on maintaining a vibrant, well-balanced calendar of social events and encouraging new ideas and volunteers.
