New Members Welcome!

Join us for lively conversation and connection with other women while we explore the world of podcasts. We meet on Zoom at 1:00 PM on the third Monday of each month from September through May.

Each month, a volunteer selects a podcast and guides the discussion. Check out the list of past podcasts here. While listening ahead is encouraged, everyone is welcome - even if you haven't heard the podcast. Our meetings also include a brief check-in, giving us time to connect and get to know each other better.

Open to all Women's Connection members. Nonmembers are welcome to attend a couple of meetings before joining. Podcast selections and Zoom links are emailed in advance.

Gloria Steinem provides the inspiration for October discussion. Tune in to Listen Once More: Julia Gets Wise with Gloria Steinem, the 9/3/26 episode of the Wiser Than Me with Julia Louis-Dreyfus podcast, where Julia sat down with, then, 90-year-old author and revolutionary Gloria Steinem in May 2024. The two delve into Gloria's remarkable journey as a pioneering feminist and discuss joining the army of gray-haired women who will take over the world. The interview begins about 7 minutes into the podcast and moves from Gloria to Julia’s mom at about 55 minutes (1:02 total).

You may also want to consider Famous Last Words: Gloria Steinem, which was recently added to Netflix. In November of 2025, Gloria Steinem shared her final, heartfelt message with the world, knowing this interview would not air until she was gone. Her interview references the following poem written for her by her friend, Wilma Mankiller, titled, I Want to Be Reincarnated as Gloria Steinem, which seems so fitting now.

If I ever reincarnate, I want to return as Gloria Steinem.
To have a sharp mind, wit, and an unwavering faith in people.
To be able to be a sister to everything that exists in creation: women, men, children, plants, animals, the stars, the water, and the wind.
To face all life’s burdens squarely and dance anyway.

And to, despite everything, express unconditional love.
I want to reincarnate as Gloria Steinem to live a full and joyful life, with almost no regrets—except, perhaps, that of not going to the beach more often.
