Urban Hiking
General Information

The Urban Hiking SIG explores parks, trails, and new locations in the metro area with one or more monthly gatherings including hikes which focus on fitness and movement. Our hikes are about 3 miles and we walk at a moderate pace. Everyone is welcome to participate in any or all events throughout the year without any ongoing obligation. We also welcome suggestions from everyone on new locations to explore.

The group uses a rotational leadership model and invite members to select a location and lead a hike.

If you want to be added to the  list 1) add yourself to the contact group. or 2) Contact Lauren Edlund using the Member Directory.  If not a Member, please contact us with any questions you may have.

Event Information
MSP Urban Hiking - Lake of the Isles - May 22 2026

On Friday, June 26, eight women enjoyed a hike at Elm Creek Park Reserve in Maple Grove.  It was an adventure for some to drive this far "north".  After the hike we went to lunch at the Lookout Bar and Grill and have lovely outdoor seating.

On Friday, July 24th, at 10:00 Terri J is leading a hike in Stillwater with lunch afterwards at Rio1854. Register at the link below so she knows to wait for you.
