MEET IN PERSON

Candlelight Suppers

"Candlelight Suppers" offers Women's Connection foodies an evening of culinary splendor and conversation.  These at home dinners are a throwback to the ole salon style of entertaining. Through rotating homes, each host can decide what she'd like to serve and can request that guests bring a dish to add to the meal. Or, the host can order in or have everyone cook the meal together. It is an opportunity for Women's Connection friends to gather and enjoy a lovely meal and quality time together around the table.

Culinary Explorers

Food, glorious food! We are passionate about it -- teaching each other about new culinary arts by exploring trends with chefs and restauranteurs, learning from culinary historians, and sharing our rich food culture. We are  a group of 18 curious women who all commit to sharing our adventures. We don’t just eat together though. For each get-together, two members partner to conceptualize, plan, and run the event. We take turns six times a year planning for in-person lunches and learning (spring and fall) in NYC. If you’re fascinated by all things culinary, and willing to work hard to organize a culinary event you are welcome at our table!

The Dining Circle

A group for members who enjoy good food and stimulating conversation. Dining events to be held on different days at Manhattan restaurants offering various cuisines. Prices will vary and cash is required in case cards are not accepted. Additionally, there will be holiday events and possible day trips  which of course will include--- dining.

Food Network

Have a passion for food, interest in new food trends, recipes, and/or restaurants? All of these inspire us to cook great meals. Members connect once a month with a small group of five to six members to create a multi course lunch to be savored in someone's home with the appropriate wines. The host makes the main course, and each person is responsible for another course. Most prep work is done at home and brought to the meal. Last minute prep, mixing or heating, is done on site. It's a great opportunity to bond with like-minded women, have interesting conversations as well as share amazing food. We currently have one group of six foodies and we're looking to start another.

Friday Cheers One

As the week is coming to an end wouldn't it be great to have the chance to kick-back, relax and mellow out. Do this while making new friends and getting to know those you already know even better. Have shared experiences and enjoy some food & drink. If all this sounds appealing, maybe this Friday Night Group is right for you. (Ted Danson will not be bartending).

Global Cuisine

If you are adventurous and curious about cuisines you've never tried, from most corners of the world, or would like to re-experience memorable meals from travels, or simply want friendly Women's Connection companionship while enjoying something different, try out this group. Global Cuisine is inspired by a previous group, Ethnic Eats, which provided enjoyable meals over many years. Once you join, you'll receive specific information about venues and dates. We'll be choosing places that are moderately priced, and able to serve a group of up to twelve people. RSVPs will be essential, first come, first served and payment will be cash only.

Home Office Lunch League

Join our monthly lunchtime club for remote and at home freelance workers! If you work from home and need a break from your desk, come and join us. It's a great way to escape the home office and meet other work from home members. Let's enjoy lunch together!

Scrumptious Sunday Brunch

Dine with new friends, or come with your Women's Connection friends to either a rooftop restaurant, a hotel, an adorable bistro, or a scrumptious restaurant. Planned with the sophisticated and savvy foodie in mind, all of the restaurants are carefully selected and offer the best upscale brunch dining experience in NYC! You will surely enjoy the ambiance and the vibe too for these fun-filled and memorable Sunday brunch events. We look forward to you joining us! The SSB Committee includes Marlene Hochman, Nancy Reif and Elaine Schott.
