Book  and Magazine groups are always popular with Women's Connection members. All current, open groups are listed below. 


IN-PERSON BOOK GROUPS


Shakespeare Reading and Discussion Group *NEW
Shakespeare's work is timeless and its universal themes continue to resonate with the world. Let's dig deeply into the beauty of his language - perhaps with out loud readings and discussion, allowing the story to follow. If it's your first read or one-hundredth, please consider becoming a member. All comments will be appreciated.

Third Tuesday  Book Group
Do you love to read wonderful books but miss having others to share your thoughts and feelings with? Do you enjoy reading fiction and memoirs? If so, please join our NEW book club! This Book Club will meet on the third Tuesday of every month from 2 to 4PM, beginning February 20th.  We are looking for members who enjoy reading thoughtfully and want to engage in lively and informed conversations. We expect our book club will create exciting opportunities for learning, laughing and friendship.


VIRTUAL BOOK GROUPS


Third Tuesday Morning Book Discussion
This group meets, via Zoom, on the third Tuesday of the month from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.  We read quality fiction.  

Well Read Women 
This book group is for women who want to broaden their reading exposure. The book categories we read include:  Classics, Fiction, Mysteries, Plays, Graphic Novels, Short Stories, Biographies, History, Non-Fiction and Travel Memoirs. We rotate book categories each month as well as the responsibility for selecting the reading and the facilitation of the discussion.  All authors are welcome. Page length is totally flexible. Publication date is irrelevant. Format is and will be Zoom only. Meeting is on the first Wednesday of the month from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

MAGAZINE GROUPS

Magazine Salon 2

Magazine Salon 2 meets on Zoom on the second Tuesday of the month at 2PM.  Each member of the SIG takes a turn at selecting an article for a discussion as well as a plan for facilitating the discussion.

Magazine Salon 5 
A Salon group is similar to a book group. However, it uses interesting magazine and newspaper articles rather than a book to stimulate discussion. Each month a member of the group chooses an article for discussion. She prepares a few questions to facilitate the discussion and it goes from there. This group meets the second Wednesday of each month, via Zoom from 5:00-6:30 pm.
Women's Connection SIGs are for Chapter members.
