This engaging, easy-to-follow one-hour financial literacy course is designed especially for senior women who want to protect their income, simplify their finances, and avoid costly scams.
In a supportive, judgment-free environment, you’ll learn how to manage a fixed income, understand healthcare costs, make safe financial decisions, and organize important documents for your family.
Through real-life examples and practical tips, you’ll gain the knowledge and confidence to stay independent, secure, and in control of your financial life.

Margaret Tauzier, CPA, retired in February 2026 after a 35-year career in PwC's New Orleans Tax Practice, where she provided tax consulting and compliance services to publicly traded and closely held businesses. She also spent more than 20 years developing and teaching PwC training programs and has additional private industry experience.
Margaret earned her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and her Master's in Taxation from the University of New Orleans. She is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Society of Louisiana CPAs, serves on the Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana Board and the Women's Connection Board of Directors and its Coast to Coast Steering Committee, and enjoys travel, cooking, and swimming.
Ricky Burke, CPA, retired in 2017 after a 37-year career with Atmos Energy Corporation, where he developed a passion for financial literacy, particularly for new supervisors. Since 2016, he has been an active member of the Society of Louisiana CPAs Financial Literacy Committee and joined its Career Awareness initiative in 2022.
Ricky holds Bachelor's and MBA degrees from the University of New Orleans. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Society of Louisiana CPAs, a past president of the University of New Orleans Alumni Association, and enjoys cycling with his wife, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren.
