Guided Tour

Since 1971 the Edward Hopper House has operated as a non-profit museum and art center celebrating the artist's legacy by preserving his family home and archive. The ground floor of the House is a vibrant gallery space featuring exhibitions of 20th-century and contemporary art, with early Hopper work, memorabilia and rotating exhibits relating to Edward Hopper. Growing up with a view of the Hudson River from his bedroom window, young Edward Hopper was drawn to its banks. He spent hours at the village docks and shipyards, sketching and watching the building and rigging of boats. The activity on the river is captured in many of Hopper’s early drawings and paintings, and boats and seascapes remained common subjects in his art throughout his life. Also central to his artistic development was the so-called “Hudson River light” of Nyack. Optional Lunch at local restaurant will follow. Details will be provided to registrants. Please bring cash to split the check.

Cancellations accepted, however there will be no refunds to credit card charges. Instead, for members, a $22 credit will be applied to your Women's Connection account which can be applied to any future charges.

Please note: Women's Connection takes photos and videos at events and use them on our website and in newsletters, social media posts and promotional materials.  We will protect your privacy by never publishing contact information alongside your image.  If you prefer not to be included, please avoid areas where a photographer is present.
