From enchanting flutes and mystical music to celestial adventures and Irish selkies, join the Metropolitan Flute Festival Orchestra, directed by Paige Dashner Long. Experience music that is the heartbeat of Ireland, featuring works by Stanford, Giacchino, Long, Cohen and more. This select ensemble is comprised of 95 highly trained flutists, performing with multiple flutes spanning an amazing seven octaves, including piccolo, concert flute, alto flute, bass flute, contrabass flute, sub contrabass flute and the rare Kotato double contrabass flute, one of four in the world.
