Bring Your Own Set
This weekly game is for our members who have previous experience playing the came and can independently execute play following the rules and card combinations.
If you have a set, please be thoughtful and bring it along.
If you are a complete beginner you are welcome to come learn from observing.
National mahjong is played with four players using tiles stamped with Chinese symbols. The goal of the game is to be the first, by picking and discarding, to match one's tiles to a specific hand from the annually distributed scorecard published by the National Mah Jongg League (NMJL). Scoring is done by matching the points assigned to each pre-determined hand on the annually distributed NMJL card.
