Travel the world without leaving the Atlanta area, to see the largest Hindu Temple of its kind in North America. Hiding in plain sight just outside of Atlanta, BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir feels less like a local attraction and more like stepping into a global masterpiece. Built from tens of thousands of hand-carved stones sourced from three continents and assembled in under two years, every inch of the temple reflects centuries-old design traditions and astonishing craftsmanship.
Cost: The tour is complementary.
The temple asks each tour attendee to bring a vegetarian canned food item for donation to the Gwinnett County’s Care Closet.
If you plan to go to the on-campus vegetarian Shayona Cafe following the tour, which is said to be delicious, please plan to pay for your own meal.
