This is very last minute, but I felt it was worth passing along. Our chapter seems to enjoy dining out, with Sunday Brunch, Dining Around the World and before or after almost all our events...and this event celebrates and supports women!

One of our newer members, Connie Walsh, sent me information about an exciting food-focused event called Dames Delicious. This event is a celebration of women in food and hospitality sponsored by Les Dames d ’Escoffier’s Boston Chapter and their annual fundraiser. Proceeds will go to Les Dames’ Culinary Adventure Awards. Created in collaboration with Boston University’s Culinary Arts Programs, it helps promising female students to fulfill their career dreams. Funds will also go to battle food insecurity in local communities.

A bit about Les Dames – it’s an international organization of women involved in all aspects of the culinary and hospitality industry. It is educational and philanthropic – and social. One of its core tenets is supporting women in their related businesses.

Dames Delicious is a unique evening to taste, sip, savor, and learn. Highlights include a 16ft Grazing Table of New England-made products, samples from women-owned restaurants, and tastings of wine, beer, and spirits. There will be demonstrations, cookbook authors, and a silent auction.
