Heart disease is the leading cause of death for women in the US and causes more deaths in women than breast cancer, cervical cancer and Alzheimer’s Disease combined. Dr. Sonia Tolani, Co-Director of the Columbia Women’s Heart Center, will speak about what puts women at risk for heart disease and helps us understand how we can reduce this risk and live longer healthier lives.
Our Speaker: Dr. Sonia Tolani

Dr. Sonia Tolani is Co-Director of the Columbia Women’s Heart Center, which focuses on the treatment and prevention of heart disease in women. In addition to providing clinical care, Dr. Tolani is also developing digital tools to better educate health care providers about heart disease in women and to improve heart disease awareness in women globally. Dr. Tolani’s areas of expertise include consultative cardiology, preventative medicine, and women’s heart disease.
