A Man Full of Trouble Tavern

Come enjoy a presentation and tasting of the full range of locally-produced Succession Fermentory farmhouse beers and ferments offered in the tasting room of historic, recently renovated A Man Full of Trouble Tavern in Old City, Philadelphia.

A Man Full of Trouble Tavern, which first opened in 1759, over the years has quenched the thirst of dock workers, stevedores, and others, including the likes of Benjamin Franklin.  Newly renovated and restored, last March it was awarded a 2025 Grand Jury Award for excellence by the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia.

Following our presentation and tasting, we will go up to the upper floors of the tavern to explore the owner's museum of American history collectibles, which includes a Revolutionary War canon.  Be advised that the stairs are narrow and can be difficult for someone using a cane.

Please note that there are two identical presentation/tastings - this listing is for Group 1 which begins at 4 pm.  Group 2 begins at 5:30 pm.
