Join a team of Women's Connection women to help prepare food for those in need in our community. You can learn more at www.nourishingbethesda.org
Our assignments may include:
-Packing bags of shelf stable groceries
-Cutting recovered bread, and packing the bread and recovered bagels into bags
-Packing "Weekend Bags"; these are for local elementary school students in the Free And Reduced-price Meals (FARM) program to take home so they eat over the weekend; it consists of packing three mini-meals, three snacks and a flyer into large Ziploc bags.
-Packing onions into net bags
Parking is available on site. Please don't park in the first row closest to the door. That's reserved for clients who are coming and going to pick up their food.
After we finish the project, we will head down to Wildwood Shopping Center at 10241 Old Georgetown Road to enjoy a casual meal at Flower Child (www.iamaflowerchild.com) and conversation.
Donations of canned food (including canned or dry beans, peanut butter, or nonperishable oat milk) are welcome at the event but not required. Financial donations are always appreciated at www.nourishingbethesda.org/donate
